A tradition started in 2009 will continue - the Alumni Challenge is a unique twist to the race results. Race participants in the 10K designate the high school they graduated from, then finishers are scored with an Age-Graded table based on age and sex, with the top scoring school (based on the five scorers) winning the challenge. There is no extra registration necessary - just indicate a high school of graduation on your entry. * South Eugene High School has won this award every year.
A Team Roster is no longer necessary. If you are participating as a member of a team, please select your team affiliation from the drop down menu of options in the online registration process. If you do not see your team name in the drop down menu, it means you are the first on your team to register with that name. Teams can be all male, all female, or coed, and can have an unlimited number of members. The first FIVE finishers on a team will have their times added for a total team time. Coed teams must have at least one female count in the team scoring.
The top three 10K teams in each division will receive awards. Divisions include: Elementary School, Middle School, High School, Collegiate, Open, Masters, Corporate, Seniors (60 & over), Government, and Running Clubs. School division participation is determined by the grade in school a participant completed in the past school year. The team in each division with the largest number of participants in the walk will receive an award. All members of a team need to register individually, selecting their team affiliation from the drop down menu of options in the online registration process.
